Nicarágua Paralympic Committee promoted on March 10th to 14th the National Goalball Championship in Nicaragua. The competition had the participation of 8 teams in the men category and 5 teams in the women category, where Neutrales and Esteli took the gold medal respectively.

With 40 goals, the athlete Luis Landero playing for Ocotal was the champion within the men, and Vanessa Benavidez from Maricela, was the woman who scored the most with 24 goals. The competition had the participation of around 85 athletes from all over the country and were a great success, specially to promote the sport within the country.
