Paracodicader 2008 Games in Nicaragua

Between the 4th and 8th of October were carried out the II Paracodicader 2008 Games in the city of Managua in Nicaragua, where 177 athletes of athletics and 47 of swimming were present.

Guatemala was the country with the largest number of representatives, 92 over all. El Salvador had 51, Belize 49, Costa Rica 32, Panama 40 and Nicaragua 45. The age group of athletes with hearing, visual and physical disability was 14 to 17 years old. The age of the athletes with cerebral palsy and intellectual disabilities was between 14 and 18 years, and those with Down syndrome was from 14 up to 20 years.

The Paralympic Committee of Nicaragua had the support of local Government, the Nicaraguans Institute of Sports, the Ministry of Education, the Army, the National Police, the Gatorade and Red Cross for the event.
